Today’s exercise is simple and effective; do this each morning before you do any other task, it will feel silly at first but persevere and it will put you in a happy mood instantly 🙂
Follow the instructions, you need to do this every day for a week and then every two days for the following week
- Stand up and look into a mirror at your reflection, firstly notice how nice you look today; there is always a part of you that looks the best which is yours? And give yourself a big smile. If you are not happy with your appearance, imagine you are the type of person who appreciates themself and give a big wide smile – you are already feeling a little happier.
- Next, tell yourself all the things that make you special – list at least 10 special things
- Thirdly remind yourself of all the things you do really well; this can be anything from washing up to being a good listener
- Finally again with a big smile, thank yourself for being you.
Try to say these affirmations out loud but if you are in a busy house and don’t want the attention, saying them in your head is also fine.
Persevere. It WILL bring results. Best of luck and believe what you are saying. You ARE an amazing, unique human being!!!
