For those of you who are old enough to remember when Gareth Southgate missed the penalty that cost England the Euros in 1996, try to imagine for a minute how he felt when it was saved in front of thousands of people around the world.
End of the world, probably felt his career was destroyed, his reputation shot…the laughing stock and butt of all jokes (at least there wasn’t social media then!)…
So, what relevance does that have to life coaching and personal development I hear you ask?!
EVERYTHING…
When a relationship ends, a loved one dies, a job is lost or a traumatic event happens it can seem like the end of the world…unsurmountable…
It is the first thing you think about when you open your eyes in the morning and the thing that hampers your sleep every night…
So… did his career stall? Is he a laughing stock? Could he ever have imagined where he would be 25 years later!
My point is that I have been there; in a situation where I thought my world had collapsed. My marriage had ended, I was a single parent, I was broke and couldn’t afford the mortgage alone and also felt embarrassed and ashamed that I couldn’t make my marriage work.
I tried internet dating; my confidence rose a little, I was assaulted and life got even worse…
Then I decided to speak to a life coach. Just out of interest for the free half hour, I couldn’t afford to pay anyone.
After that half hour a weight had been lifted…I HAD A PLAN!! A way forward, actions to take and someone who would support me but also kick my arse when I stalled, or found excuses as to why it was ‘too hard’…
I found the money, I attended the sessions, I did the work and even after saying goodbye to my coach I kept growing, kept developing, transformed my life
Now I love speaking to and supporting other women to ensure that they are living their best lives…with no limits…
If what I say here resonates with you or even just intrigues you a little…call me.
It is a totally free call..you have NOTHING to lose and everything to gain…
I hope to be speaking to you soon…
